The Top 5 Software Systems I use as a Photographer

While a couple of these must-have software systems are photographer-specific, the other 3 can be used in any business! Dive in, below!

1.    Sprout Studio

This Studio Management Software is one I couldn’t live without! Sprout does it all, but most importantly helps me provide the best experience for my clients (which is #1 in my books, too!). Galleries, Questionnaires, Workflows, Invoices, Contracts, Album Proofing and so much more is all in one spot. You can take it from me, but also one of my clients:

“…I do have to give an official shout-out to Lauren’s software. I am the furthest thing from a techy, and her online portal made it so easy to review our contract, make payments, and (most importantly!) view photos and make albums.” – Meaghan

2.    Trello

I love having a place to organize my thoughts. Trello is awesome for keeping on top of projects and progress, as well as just having a space to do a bit of a brain dump when I’ve got a lot on my mind. I use it for both business and personal tasks and love all the features it comes with to help organize everything!

3.    Dropbox

A perfect tool for so many reasons. Dropbox is great for sharing and transferring documents and files to basically anyone on my mailing list, but I use it mainly to be able to work on any computer. Any time I’m on the road, working from home, or even need to pull something up on my cell phone – it’s there. Store as much or as little as you need to make your life easy! 10/10 would recommend and if you’re not already using it, you’re missing out!

4.    Planoly

There are a bunch of tools out there for organizing your socials, but I’ve come to love Planoly! It’s user-friendly, and great for me to plan out my feed in batches and then move on to other things. If you are looking for a spot to game plan your feed and auto-post, check this one out!

5.     Narrative

I’ve been a Narrative user for a couple of years now and I can honestly say that it completely changed my blogging game. Organizing images was by far the worst part of sharing so many of the sessions and wedding days I wanted to! Once I discovered this software and how easy it makes building blogs – I was sold. I gained total creative control of how my images were presented and it also has built in tagging + SEO tools as well. If you’re at a roadblock with blogging your work, check this out now!
